Your logo appears on your website, your van, your invoices, your signage and your social profiles. It is the one piece of design that has to work everywhere, at every size, sometimes in one colour.
Recognisable at a glance, legible when small, and still readable in black and white. A design that only works in full colour at large sizes will fail on an embroidered polo shirt or a browser tab.
Simple almost always outlasts elaborate. Detail that looks impressive on screen disappears the moment the logo is reduced. Test it small before you fall for it.

Redrawing it properly as vector artwork is usually quicker than trying to rescue a blurred file, and it leaves you with something that will still print cleanly in ten years. Either way you end up owning the original.
